This Privacy Policy is designed to provide you useful information about the way we collect and use personal information and how we store coaching and / or workshop records. Please can we ask that you take the time to read the below policy because by visiting and by participating in coaching and / or workshops, you are accepting and consenting to the practices described in this policy. Information we may collect from you We may collect and process the following data about you: Contacting Us: You may give us personal information about yourself by filling in our contact us form on our website or by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail or otherwise. The type of personal information we would receive from you if you contacted us using the above methods would include your name, address, telephone and email. The type of personal information you would give to us when you enter into a formal GuruYou™ coaching agreement would be your name, address, telephone, date of birth. Further to this GuruYou™ would record relevant coaching notes to support the service GuruYou™ was providing to you. GuruYou™ would only use the personal information collected as we specifically state when you provide that information or as set out in this policy. By submitting your details to GuruYou™ Ltd you are automatically opting in to receiving communication from GuruYou™ Ltd. Should you wish to opt-out of receiving communication from GuruYou™ Ltd, please email Below are some examples of the ways in which we collect and use the data you have submitted: GuruYou™ Newsletter and Blog: The GuruYou™ newsletter “Guru News” and GuruYou™ Blog keeps contacts and clients up-to-date with information on our services, events, offers etc. If you would like to subscribe to our newsletter or blog, we will require you to send us your email address or subscribe via our website so that we can send our newsletter and blog to you. We may also ask you to provide other information about yourself, such as your name so that we can personalise your newsletter. Coaching records: Upon entering a GuruYou™ coaching agreement consent has been given by you to allow GuruYou™ to hold the personal data as stipulated in this privacy policy. Data, records and reflective notes relating to coaching sessions will be treated with great care and confidentiality. Initials of clients are used rather than complete names in reflective notes. Hand written records will be carried & stored with care. When stored at the office of GuruYou™ Ltd these records will be locked away. All notes stored electronically are password protected. Any loss or theft of records will be reported to clients immediately that is has been identified. Coaching records and email contact with coaching clients will be stored for a reasonable amount of time following the completion of a programme – not more than 3 years. After 3 years all documentation shall be destroyed permanently. Business Events and Workshops: Clients and associates of GuruYou™ Ltd will send us their contact details and the contact details of members of their organisation to enable us to organise programmes and meetings. This information shall only be used for the afore mentioned purpose and will not be passed to other parties unless they require the information to run the event or workshop. Where do we store your personal data? Personal Information as defined in the privacy policy and received by GuruYou™ would be password protected or if stored as part of our written records as defined under the Coaching section of this privacy policy. All document with password protection will only be known by Rebecca Mander, Director of GuruYou™ Ltd and key assistants who support GuruYou™ Ltd, who are bound by full confidentiality agreements. On the departure of any staff from the support team all passwords would be changed. Passwords are changed regularly. Payment for services: GuruYou™ Ltd uses Lloyds on-line banking for payments and does not store or hold account information for clients anywhere other than the Lloyds Business Account. Go Cardless is an alternative secure payment platform and all bank information is stored using Go Cardless. Their privacy information can be viewed at and GuruYou™ Ltd will take all the steps reasonably necessary to ensure your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy. However, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure and although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Keeping your journey smooth and refreshing When you use the GuruYou™ website we will track certain information about how you use the site, including the pages that you visit, URL from which you just came (whether this URL is on our site or not) which URL you go to next (whether this URL is on our site or not), what browser you are using and your IP address. This is simply used to help us improve the site, discover which pages are more popular than others and identify which links on other sites are working well for us.
